Checking Out

A single-set, two-act play

"Checking Out" is a play I wrote about three suicidal, depressed people on a condemned bridge at night with a gun. It's a comedy.

The first scene, which is here, was produced at CATCO, the Contemporary American Theatre Company, in Columbus, Ohio where it got the reviews you always hope to get.

The whole play never has been produced because my life's work of playwrighting ended when I became a victim of abuse in a hospital, turned into a fulltime patient and then became a patient safety advocate. So I never pursued making something happen with "Checking Out."
